5th Session of the Cercle Franco-Tanzanien

The 5th session of the Cercle Franco-Tanzanien - CFT - took place on Wednesday 5th October 2016. It consisted in a presentation of his job by a press cartoonist, the launching of a Tanzanian press cartoons book and a jazz concert.

This session was placed under the theme of press cartoons and their importance for freedom of expression.

On this occasion, the CFT welcomed Nicolas Vadot (‘Cartooning for Peace’ organization’s Vice President and French press cartoonist) who set out his work at the heart of the topical issues.

The French Ambassador in Tanzania, Mrs. Malika Berak, underlined the importance of French-Tanzanian friendship. Jointly with M. Walter Bgoya, founding member of the CFT and director of the publishing house, Mkuki Na Nyota, she launched the French-kiswahili book of Tanzanian press cartoons ‘Domocrazy’.

This session was brought to an end with a jazz concert performed by the Tanzanian band ‘Mopoa Jazz’.
