Mr Kamamba and Mr Dabo appointed knights in the order of the Arts and Letters

On September the 4th 2014, Ambassador Escure of France appointed Mr Donatius Kamamba, director of the department of Antiquities at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, and Adel Dabo, musician and director of the Dhow Countries Music Academy in Zanzibar, to Knighthood in the Order of the Arts and Letters.

The Order of the Arts and Letters is a decoration bestowed on individuals who have achieved distinction by their work in the arts, culture or literature or by their contribution to the dissemination of art and literature in France and throughout the world.

Mr Kamamba and Mr Dabo have both played an essential role in the area of culture in Tanzania and they are key cooperation partners.
