Alliance française of Arusha at Karibu Travel Market
The Alliance française of Arusha was present at the Karibu Travel Market 2016 to present its activities.
1 113 000 tourists in 2014, a growing trend since 2011, internationally renowned sites such as Kilimanjaro or Ngorongoro crater... The touristic sector is among the strongest of the Tanzanian economy.
- Tanzanian Minister of Natural Ressources and Tourism, Prof. Jumanne Abdallah MAGHEMBE, with the Director of the Alliance française of Arusha, Ms. Alicia Thouy
Offering locally the expertise of a global network, Alliance française d’Arusha develops trainings in "French for tourism". The major added-value of this service is to be fully customized: contents (language, cross-cultural and professional skills), targeted audiences (managers of lodges/camps, waiters, safari or trekking guides, receptionists...), learning pace (low season, intensive or extensive trainings...).
Thanks to the support of the Institut français - Paris, professionals, students and enthusiasts have got the opportunity to discover this unique know-how during the Karibu Travel Market(27-29 May 2016). Business petit-déjeuner on agro-tourism, round table on responsible tourism, talks about the cross-cultural issue, meetings between tourism students and professionals, express courses... Alliance has been fulfilling various aspects of its mission: promotion of French language for professional and employment purposes, knowledge sharing, debate of ideas.
