The French Embassy together with several academic actors is currently implementing new policies to develop partnerships between Tanzanian and French Universities and favor the access to Higher Education and Research in France to Tanzanian students.
Indeed, thanks to the quality of its educational system and the national capacity for Research and Innovation, France is the fourth popular destination for international students in the world, after the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.
As part of this global initiative and in order to give a wider exposure to the French offer and its advantages, the Campus France Desk located at the Alliance française of Dar Es Salam has been officially opened on Friday 18th of January 2019 at 10am.
This desk is meant to welcome students, to inform them about the academic opportunities in France and to support them in their mobility project that includes among other things identifying the suitable programs and going through the administrative requirements (visas, social welfare, opening of a bank account…).
It will be supervised by Ms. Karima Allaoui who speaks French, English and Kiswahili and knows very well about the French Higher Education System since she studied there (Paris and Grenoble).
There are more than 260 Campus France spaces all over the world, which represent crucial tool in developing Higher Education partnership between France and foreign countries.
• Since 2004, the offer of training given in English was almost multiplied by 5 in France, from 286 to 1,328 in the fall of 2018.
