Ambassador visits Sokoine University of Agriculture [fr]
Ambassador Nabil Hajlaoui visited the main campus of Sokoine University of Agriculture to discuss areas of academic collaboration between France and Tanzania. The partners discussed exchange programs, French language development, and seeking partnerships with the French private sector.
French Ambassador Nabil Hajlaoui had the pleasure to visit the main campus of @SUA, Morogoro to met with Prof. Raphael CHIBUNDA, Vice-Chancellor ; Prof. Maulid MWATAWALA, Deputy Vice-Chancellor ; Prof. Camilius SANGA, Acting DVC ; Prof. Esron KARIMURIBO, Director of Postgraduate studies and Research and the Management team of the university.
The visit was also the opportunities to present an overview of the STEPS (Skills Trainings in Entrepreneurship and Proprietorship for Students) program offered at SUA with a presentation of 3 business ideas in the field of fishery, organic plants and consulting.
The French Embassy launched in 2022 the Innoversity project, which aims at enhancing entrepreneurship in Tanzania by supporting innovation hubs in 3 universities including @SUA. Representative of @Sahara Ventures were also here to talk about the project and discuss with 3 groups of students about their business ideas with the Ambassador.
